La Escabrosa is an annual art and literature magazine dedicated to exploring the paranormal in Mexico from various perspectives and disciplines such as short stories and essays, narratives and photography, for those who want to understand the spine-chilling beyond skepticism or orthodoxy.

The third edition, entitled Poseer (Possession), includes the first part of Miguel Calderón’s story Los Poseídos (The Possessed), as well as an analysis of the psychology of The Exorcist, an essay on how anxiety is a form of possession of the senses by the body, a chronicle of the alien museum in Las Lomas de Chapultepec, a cut-out deck of cards, and other gruesome possessions.
